For those seeking unique solutions in facade finishing materials, we introduce an exceptionally modern, urban, and bold approach to building facades.
Recently, architects have increasingly embraced the use of hot-rolled Corten steel, applied to facades in its raw form (with slag). This technique enhances the material’s natural characteristics, allowing it to evolve unpredictably under environmental conditions. As a result, the metal gradually changes color in an organic and non-uniform way, making each architectural project truly unique and exclusive.
Corten steel is ideal for this type of facade finish, as it is a weather-resistant structural steel that matches stainless steel in durability. It can be used outdoors without additional protective coatings, as continuous exposure to changing weather conditions naturally forms a protective patina. Simply put, the steel rusts, and that rust becomes its own shield.
For facades with hot-rolled Corten sheets, we typically use steel with a thickness of 3 mm or more. In each case, the thickness is selected individually based on the sheet dimensions and the chosen fastening method.
