ds-COR is an extremely strong cleaning and degreasing agent suitable for use on both conventional steel and Corten steel, which is made by cold rolling. It is highly recommended to use this product as it prepares the surface of Corten steel for smooth and homogeneous oxidation. Although the surface of cold-rolled steel may appear clean enough, in reality, the grease on its surface is often contaminated with dirt, which in turn can prevent the penetration of the activator (act-COR) and the formation of a beautiful and even patina layer.

ds-COR is a water-based alkali, non-flammable, and odorless. It is most convenient to use by spraying the liquid directly onto the surface of the steel sheet. There is no need to pre-clean the surface with other means. Please note that the product DOES NOT need to be shaken before use, as this will cause foaming, which may leave stains on the surface. After using the oxidation activator, these stains may remain visible.

Very important: After cleaning steel with ds-COR, it is necessary to completely remove any remaining liquid. Failure to do so may result in unoxidized patches, as ds-COR reacts when in contact with the oxide activator (act-COR).
