As Corten steel becomes increasingly popular worldwide and its applications continue to expand, designers have embraced rusted steel for interior finishes (walls, doors, ceilings, columns, etc.), furniture, or small interior accents.

However, rusted steel often remains unseen, as clients usually prefer to avoid cold metal products and structures in interiors. Additionally, renovation work may already be completed, and the goal is simply to add uniqueness to certain spaces or refresh furniture.

The question arises: how can this be achieved? What tools can be used to create such color, effect, and patterns?

We offer a unique solution – Corten-based paint (containing Corten metal impurities).

All you need is a clean surface, properly cleaned and primed (depending on the type of surface to be painted – wood, plastic, concrete, plasterboard, etc.), and you can apply b-COR paint. Once the paint has dried properly, the surface acquires the same properties as Corten steel. Therefore, for further processing (to induce oxidation), Corten activator act-COR must be used (according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, which can be found here).

The textures you achieve will depend on the use of act-COR, the tools you use (sprayer, roller, brush, sponge, etc.), and your desired effect (solid color, spotted, streaked surface, etc.).
