bz-Cor Glossy Polyurethane Varnish
This high-quality, glossy polyurethane varnish is specifically designed for outdoor use on Corten steel surfaces. It is a single-component varnish that forms a durable protective layer, ensuring long-lasting performance. To achieve optimal adhesion, it must be applied over the protective bz-Cor varnish, which acts as an intermediate bonding layer. This prevents direct application onto water-based products (e.g., bp-Cor fixative) and significantly enhances adhesion compared to applying the varnish directly to the fixative.
Over time, exposure to sun, rain, and other environmental factors may cause a gradual reduction in gloss, resulting in a finish that resembles satin varnish. This is a natural effect common to most glossy coatings used in exterior conditions.
VERY IMPORTANT : before application, carefully review the product’s Technical Specifications and Safe Use Instructions to ensure proper usage and achieve the best results in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
Prior to applying any varnish, oxidation must be halted using bp-Cor fixative. Allow the surface to dry completely for at least 48 hours. To ensure maximum durability and effectiveness, bz-Cor varnish should always be applied first, as it creates a protective film between the oxidized and fixed surface and the final polyurethane coating.
For best results, always follow this sequence: Apply bz-COR varnish first, then finish with bz-Cor POLYURETHANE Gloss.
